Colleen D. Grope, CPC, CCS-P, is the co-founder and president of Medsys Consulting, Inc., bringing more than 25 years of experience in healthcare consulting and practice management. She partners with medical practices of all sizes and specialties nationwide, providing education, analysis, and hands-on support to improve efficiency, compliance, and financial performance.

Her expertise spans all areas of practice management, including medical coding and billing, documentation accuracy, compliance, chart audits, fraud and abuse prevention, and Accounts Receivable control.

Colleen is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) through the American Association of Professional Coders (AAPC) and a Certified Coding Specialist – Physician-Based (CCS-P) through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). She has also served as an Education Officer for her local AAPC chapter, sharing her knowledge with peers and advancing professional standards in the field.

A dedicated educator, Colleen has taught in local adult education programs, presented seminars at the local, state, and national levels, and provided training to residency programs. She also collaborates with hospitals to develop and establish physician practices, ensuring providers are positioned for long-term success.

Matthew Grope, CPPM, is the Vice President and Co-Owner of Medsys Consulting, Inc., bringing over 15 years of experience in the medical billing and healthcare consulting industry. Since joining Medsys in 2009, he has developed extensive expertise in revenue cycle management, credentialing, and practice operations, working closely with providers to improve efficiency and maximize collections.

Mr. Grope has played a key role in the growth and evolution of Medsys Consulting, supporting a wide range of medical practices with billing optimization, compliance, and operational improvements. His hands-on approach and deep understanding of the healthcare landscape have helped clients navigate complex billing environments and achieve stronger financial performance.

Mr. Grope is a Certified Professional Practice Manager (CPPM) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Youngstown State University.
